In the Park

Spring is here! (sort of), and now is the time to shake of the confines of winter, and join Melbourne in coming alive again for a wonderful summer, full of fantastic outdoor activities!

Whether it’s a a day at the races, going out on the bay on the yacht, a day at the beach, the tennis, a picnic in Albert Park (across from Fitzrovia), or even at home; we can make your brilliant day all the more perfect with the ultimate picnic lunch, made fresh on the day using the finest in Victorian produce and ready for you to pick up.

We have assembled a range of what we would love to eat on a perfect day out, and crammed it all into a beautiful picnic hamper, complete with cutlery, crockery, blanket and glassware, a corkscrew and everything else you will need for a luxurious day out and about. We can even arrange chilled wine or Champagne to be waiting for you at Prince Wine Cellars down the road!

All we ask is that you leave a deposit and return the hamper at an arranged time that suits you.

Our current picnic includes the following and is priced at $75 per person, although if you have any special requirements, please feel free to ask. As everything is made fresh to order, we would ask that you give us at least 48 hrs notice.

 

Entrée – each of these:

  • Scotch quails egg
  • Sausage roll
  • Slice of Fitzrovia’s savoury vegetable tart of the day

 

Main event – A range of miniature sandwiches to include:

  • Romsey Range rare roast beef, horseradish & wild rocket baguette
  • Bacchus Marsh free range chicken mayonnaise, organic truss tomato and avocado ciabatta
  • Classic Istra BLT baguette
  • Butter poached lobster and Istra bacon club sandwich ($15 p/h supplement)
  • Truffled free range egg, thyme roasted field mushroom

 

Sides -

  • Roast vegetable salad
    • Potato salad
    • Tomato salad
    • Mixed leaf and herb salad

 

Cheese Course – each of these:

  • Noisette sourdough baguette
  • Goat’s curd soft cheese, Pyengana Cheddar and Jindi blue
  • Cheese biscuits

 

Grazing sweets – each of these:

  • Monbulk strawberries & clotted cream
  • Freshly baked sweet muffin
  • Selection of biscuits fresh from Fitzrovia

 

Drinks – each of these:

  • Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Hepburn and Daylesford sparkling mineral water

 

Afters – each of these:

  • Fig and couverture chocolate brownie
  • Fitzrovia single origin espresso coffee shots
