All of our meats are free range, our fish sustainable, and all our fresh produce is sourced from within Victoria. We will always make conscious decisions on the impact on each purchasing decision based on it’s impact on our environment.
Wastage is divided into recyclable produce and landfill waste. All our used cooking oils are filtered, retained and collected weekly for production into biodiesel. Wherever possible we use alternative disposables made from biodegradable and compost-easy corn, Palm, Balsa and Bagasse.
In planning menus for a function, Fitzrovia will always aim to minimize energy consumption. our logistics will always plan with a view to pack into as few vehicles as possible and allow for the minimum possible cooking equipment.
Fitzrovia is mindful of water consumption levels wherever possible. our vehicles are cleaned at car washes that use recycled water, cooking implements are returned to base for sterilization in a commercially efficient environment and all staff are trained on the most efficient washing procedures possible.
We use energy efficient induction hobs for clean on site cooking with minimal emissions. our diesel vehicles are serviced pro actively to ensure efficient operating standards while our hired vehicles are rented through reputable local suppliers with a proven track record of high standards.
